Before facing suffering and affliction he went astray. Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. – Ps 119:67. Once when the war comes David did not go to the war. He was in his house and walked upon the roof of the king's house. There he gives room to the lust of eyes and his eyes were full of lust. This bring end to sin with Bathsheba. This brings sufferings, trouble in the life of David. He lost peace, joy in him. David thinks that no one knows about this, but Lord God speaks with him through Prophet Nathan. When Lord God reveals him about his sin he confesses his sin and repent and he pray to the Lord to renew him. He prayed to clean his heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. – Ps 51:7-10.
